March 16, 2007, Newsletter Issue #11: Glowing Skin Even in the Dead of Winter

Tip of the Week

It's cold out and the wind is whipping across your face. While your cheeks may turn a rosy hue, the cold wind is doing nothing but drying your skin. Of course, stepping inside a warm building doesn't help much, either. Heating dries out the air, which sucks moisture from your skin making it flaky and tight. It's no wonder it's a lot easier to look dewy in the summer! If you want that same glowing skin that you have in the warmer months, take these steps to banish winter skin, courtesy of MSN.com.

-Take fewer baths during the colder months and don't use very hot water
-Place moisturizer on your skin throughout the day
-Avoid abrasive or harsh soap or detergent products
-Your skin could become itchy, but avoid scratching or rubbing
